Dear MBA Members:
This year, as we celebrate our nation’s 250th anniversary, we are reminded of the enduring spirit of innovation, entrepreneurship and opportunity that has helped shape America. It is also a fitting time to reflect on our own organization and the vital role that the Manufacturer & Business Association (The MBA) has played in championing free enterprise and supporting its nearly 3,000 member companies in the tri-state region.
For me, it is a privilege to serve as chairman of The MBA’s Board of Governors for 2026-2027. I am honored to work alongside an outstanding Board of Governors and the exceptional MBA staff as we build on the Association’s proud legacy of supporting employers. Together, we are embracing new opportunities, strengthening our business community and finding innovative ways to help our members succeed.
In my role at Molex ADS, I see the challenges and opportunities facing manufacturers and businesses across our membership region every day. That experience reinforces the value of The MBA and the important role it plays in supporting employers with programs and services that move their businesses forward. For more than 120 years, The MBA has been a trusted partner to businesses, and I am proud to help continue that tradition.
We continue to expand our training opportunities to help businesses develop skilled employees and strong leaders. We also have introduced new artificial intelligence (AI) courses that give companies practical ways to understand and use this fast-changing technology. AI is becoming part of nearly every industry, and our goal is to help members stay informed, improve efficiency and remain competitive.
The MBA also is strengthening its partnerships throughout the business community. These relationships give our members access to more resources, more expertise and more opportunities. At the same time, we continue to expand our networking events, bringing together business leaders from across the region to share ideas, learn from one another and build lasting professional relationships. Those connections often lead to new partnerships and new opportunities.
As you will see in this year’s Annual Report, one of the highlights of the year will be the Association’s 121st Annual Event on October 7 at the Bayfront Convention Center in Erie. We are honored to welcome General James Mattis, (Retired), 26th Secretary of Defense, as our keynote speaker. His experience leading at the highest levels of the military and government will offer valuable lessons on leadership, teamwork and decision-making. It promises to be an inspiring evening that brings our business community together.
We also are excited to have a special father-and-son duo Ryan and Coen Krysiak perform our National Anthem. Their performance will make the evening even more memorable and reflect the strong sense of service and community that defines the Association.
Earlier that day, we will celebrate Manufacturing Day, one of The MBA’s signature events. Manufacturing remains the backbone of our regional economy, and MFG Day gives us the opportunity to recognize the companies and people who keep our industry moving forward. It also introduces students to the exciting careers available in today’s modern manufacturing environment.

I am especially proud that Molex is serving as the major sponsor of this year’s MFG Day celebration. Supporting this event reflects our company’s commitment to manufacturing, workforce development and inspiring the next generation of skilled professionals. Investing in future talent benefits every employer and helps ensure our region continues to thrive.
Whether you have been an MBA member for decades or recently joined, I encourage you to take full advantage of everything your membership has to offer. There is always something new to learn and new ways to become involved.
Thank you for your continued support of The MBA. It is a privilege to serve as your chairman, and I look forward to seeing you at this year’s MFG Day and Annual Event on October 7!
Sincerely,
Jennifer Nelson,
Chairman of MBA Board of Governors
