Scott McNabb, Chief Human Resources Officer at Wm. T. Spaeder

Nominated by Victoria McNabb, Office Manager at Estate Services.

Scott has dedicated more than 30 years to the Human Resources profession, building a career that spans the Industrial, Technology, and Energy sectors while making a lasting impact on thousands of employees around the world. His career is defined not only by his professional accomplishments, but by his unwavering commitment to helping people grow.

Beginning on a General Electric factory line assembling stoves, Scott worked full time while attending college at night. At the same time, he was supporting his wife and two young daughters, with a third child on the way. Through determination and sacrifice, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Development and launched a career in Human Resources at GE that would eventually take him around the world.

Over the years, Scott has held HR leadership positions ranging from Generalist to Executive, supporting organizations of every size—from managing a multi-site workforce of more than 3,600 employees to serving as an International HR Leader with employee groups across 170 facilities in 140 countries. His expertise extends beyond Human Resources through certifications in Six Sigma, APICS, Lean, Leadership Development, and extensive experience in Operations, Automation, Business, and Engineering. This unique combination allows him to understand both the people and the business, creating solutions that strengthen organizations while investing in their employees.

What truly sets Scott apart is his belief that a company’s greatest asset is its people. Throughout his career, he has coached, mentored, and developed countless employees, helping them recognize potential they often didn’t see in themselves. Whether building leadership programs, developing career paths, implementing workforce training, or improving organizational effectiveness, his focus has always been the same: when people grow, businesses succeed.

His work has taken him across the globe, including assignments in India, Mexico and China, where he partnered with manufacturing facilities to develop world-class HR strategies and strengthen organizational performance. Today, as the Chief Human Resources Officer at WM. T. Spaeder, he continues to lead with that same philosophy. He has helped expand the company’s capabilities while fostering a culture where employees have opportunities to learn, advance and build meaningful careers. His commitment to community involvement and employee engagement has helped make the organization an employer of choice.

While Scott’s professional accomplishments are remarkable, they are only part of what makes him deserving of this recognition.

Despite the long hours, international travel, and demanding leadership roles, he never lost sight of what mattered most — his family. He was always present, always supportive and always led by example. He taught us that success isn’t measured by titles or accomplishments alone, but by the lives you improve along the way.

I have never met anyone who works harder, cares more deeply about others, or leads with greater humility and integrity. He has spent his entire career lifting people up, creating opportunities and making organizations stronger because he believes in investing in others.

To me, he is more than an exceptional Human Resources leader — he is the definition of servant leadership. His career has been built on developing people, strengthening organizations and leaving every workplace better than he found it.

There is no one more deserving of this recognition than Scott McNabb.
